While in the West we may still have a good time without hearing from Rurouni Kenshin, the story is different in the land of the rising sun.
Since the return of the series with the Hokkaido Arc, Kenshin and his gang have been making cameo appearances in several consolidated mobile JRPGs:

- Annihilation City 2
- Summons Board
- Monster Strike
- Tanken Driland
- Pocoro Dungeons
- Three Kingdom Smash
In addition, they are also featured in Jump's latest crossover games: Jumputi Heroes and Jump Stadium. With all this success, the Jumputi Heroes game is hosting a special event:

You can check out a full analysis of mission points and objectives here. With Rurouni Kenshin participating in all these games and now being the first Jump series to host a special event, would that be in preparation for a big announcement? Only time will tell, but it is certain that, in Japan, Rurouni Kenshin is in evidence for good reasons.
