Let's see what was revealed so far


After months of silence, with just some information from the director in a talk session and other brief words in a newspaper, 2020 is getting closer and closer, and the information has begun to be released.
Last week the first visuals, dates and titles of the movies were revealed:

- Rurouni Kenshin Saishūshō - The Final: July 3, 2020
- Rurouni Kenshin Saishūshō - The Beginning: August 7, 2020

Takeru Satoh as Kenshin Himura.
Emi Takei as Kaoru Kamiya.
Munetaka Aoki as Sanosuke Sagara.
Yu Aoi as Megumi Takani.
Riku Onishi as Yahiko Myojin.


It is rumored that Yosuke Eguchi would reprise his role as Hajime Saitou.

And finally, we got to Jump Festa. Jump Festa is an annual party or exposition in Japan, all about manga and anime, sponsored by Shueisha, publisher of the various Jump anthologies which are Weekly Shōnen Jump, Jump Square, V Jump, Saikyō Jump and Shōnen Jump+. The exposition was started in 1999, and is held for two days in December with over 100,000 people attending every year. Rurouni Kenshin's booth was held yesterday at 4:00 PM with Hokkaido Arc co-writer and producers of the new live-actions.

“The Final” is based on Jinchu Arc. “The Beginning” is based on Tsuioku-hen (Trust & betrayal).
Battousai’s Kimono is black color. Staff called it “Red Kenshin”, “Black Kenshin”.
The actors playing Tomoe and Enishi will be announced at the beginning of next year.
The actor who plays Kujiranami role is good looking.
The actor in Kujiranami role increased weight for that.
Takeru Satoh loses weight to play the Battousai.
Gein and Banjin have already appeared, so the new original characters will appear. Their names were given by Watsuki.
Mr.Koiwai said,
“If you watch 'The Final' and watch 'The Beginning', you will surely want to watch the 'The Final' one more.”
“Further more,'The Beginning' leads to the first movie, so you will want to watch this series again from the beginning.”

Watsuki's manga ran from 1994 to 1999 in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine. A TV Animated series aired in Japan from 1996 to 1998 and spawned several anime video projects and an anime film. Viz Media published the original manga and the two-volume Rurouni Kenshin: Restoration reboot manga in North America, while Media Blasters released the television anime. ADV Films released the two Rurouni Kenshin: Trust & Betrayal and Rurouni Kenshin: Reflection video anime projects and the Rurouni Kenshin: Ishin Shishi e no Requiem (Requiem for the ishin Patriots) film on DVD, and Aniplex later released the three titles on Blu-ray Disc. Sentai Filmworks released the more recent Rurouni Kenshin: New Kyoto Arc video anime series on Blu-ray Disc/DVD.

Rurouni Kenshin Final Chapter The Final / The Beginning," which will be a nationwide road show for two consecutive titles - July 3 and August 7. The 1st trailer is promised for tomorrow (21).
