New image shows unprecedented combat

If you've been a longtime fan of Rurouni Kenshin, you've probably read the entire classic manga (after all, Arco Hokkaido is currently being published in Japan) and must have watched the animated series and OVAs. If you know it all, you've probably seen the original live-action trilogy. While the first film - Rurouni Kenshin: Origins (2012) took certain liberties, the second and third - Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno and The Legend Ends (2014) - were looser adaptations, mainly due to the choices made with the first film. So it is not unexpected that the new films (until then) scheduled for this year - The End and the Beginning - will distance themselves from the original work.

It is already expected that at least two new characters will be added, after all, for no reason, Banjin Inui and a younger and hybrid version of Gein using elements from Han'nya were used in the first film. Below you can see Kenshin fighting minions, probably Enishi's:

Here we can see Kenshin and Enishi. Perhaps in the aftermath of the final battle:

The story of the new live-actions will be based on the Jinchuu Arc. Rurouni Kenshin - Final Chapter: The Final/The Beginning," which will be a nationwide road show for two consecutive titles - July 3 and August 7.
